Since the old times model trains have been one of the greatest past times of the people. Avid collectors of model trains have faithfully seen through the colorful history of the different kinds of scale model trains. After the war the N scale model train were introduce in the market. The N scale is quite small compared to the other scale trains. Various manufacturer names like Atlas, Kato and the Micro-Trains Line are the popular ones.
Micro-Trains for one have a variety of N scale model trains that you can choose from. Its founder Keith and Dale Edwards started the company year 1940 and their name then was Kadee. They were the ones who designed and patented the Magne-Matic Coupler which modernize the model railroading.
By early 1960’s the twin brothers started to create their Magne-Matic coupler system into a smaller scale thus the N scale started. Slowly they added trucks, wheels and more to their N scale products. By 1972 they introduced a complete freight car to the N scale line and it was that time that Micro-Trains line was created in a separate decision.
By 1990 the original Kadee Company is divided into two corporations and one of them become Micro-Trains Company, Incorporated who retained the rights of manufacturing the products in N, Z and Nn3 scale. It is during this time that the interest for N scale model railroading has increase as more and more people find the model more interesting and fun.
Today Micro-Trains continue to develop high standard model trains. They are the only model train manufacturer of various scale to offer over eighty various designs of model train freight cars.
