Luis Marx started his toy company in 1919 and was called Marx and Organization. It was co-founded by his brother who is David Marx. Its vision is to be able to supply lots of toys for an affordable price. It did survive too for long years including the depression time and the second war but unfortunately it closed down year 1978.
During its popular days, Marx and Corporation have sold great number of toy trains compare to other toy businesses. The first train they market was the Pleasure Line and after great success they never stop and create more and new designs. Their trains are quite visible in the marketplace since people like them for the fact that they are smaller and the price is affordable too compared to other manufacturers like Lionel Corporate and American Flyer.
Marx first train was a Union Pacific Articulated Streamliner and next to that is the New York Central Mercury. Shortly after that they have the Commodore Vanderbilt locomotives and of course not to forget the Canadian Pacific which was introduce in year1936 during the celebration of Canadian Pacific Jubilee train.
They also provide and sell accessories which ranges from run of the mill signals to nify barrel loaders. Any accessories you need you will find and at such a low price. By 1952, Marx begins to make scale trains in plastic form (four and eight wheel version). To mention a few are Freight cars and diesel locomotives that are made of tin were slowly replace by plastic. Fortunately customers choose the new trend that is the plastic toy trains that are offered.
Model trains are great collections to have. What is great is you can enjoy bonding time with your kids setting up these toy trains. For avid collectors you can find one in auction sites and in various websites that sells Model Trains.
